Historian, works at the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno, previously at the Institute of History of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He is interested in the history of early medieval military affairs and the popularization of history, including historical reconstruction. Author, co-author and editor of several books, including: 'Transformations in the Polish military from the mid-10th century to 1138. The shape and organization of the army' (Toruń 2007), 'Weapons of Polish troops in the Middle Ages' (Zakrzewo 2009), 'Wolin - the city of Slavs and Vikings. The history of Wolin festivals and more' (co-authored with Wojciech Filipowiak, Wolin 2019), and several dozen articles scientific and popular science.
